# Git

Kalipso Studio 6 includes integrated Git version control, allowing you to manage your project directly from the IDE. Git integration enables you to track changes, collaborate with team members, and maintain a complete history of your project's development.

The Git tab in the Ribbon provides access to all version control operations:

* **Open Repository** - Opens an existing Git repository from a local folder
* **Create Repository** - Creates a new Git repository for your project
* **Repository** - Opens the Repository window to view repository details, branches, and commit history
* **Commit** - Commits your changes to the local repository
* **Pull** - Downloads changes from the remote repository to your local repository
* **Push** - Uploads your local commits to the remote repository
* **Branches** - Manages branches in your repository
* **Merge** - Merges changes from one branch into another

## Getting Started

To start using Git with your Kalipso project:

1. **Create a new repository** - Use "Create Repository" to initialize Git for your project, or
2. **Open an existing repository** - Use "Open Repository" if your project is already under version control

Once your project is connected to a Git repository, you can:

* Track all changes made to your project files
* Commit changes with descriptive messages
* Push changes to a remote server (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.)
* Pull changes made by other team members
* Work with multiple branches for different features or versions

## Subpages
