# New Project

Kalipso - Developing - Project - New Project

There are two ways to create a new project in Kalipso.

[Regular mode](/kalipso5/developing/project/create/normal.md) and a [wizard mode](/kalipso5/developing/project/create/wizard.md).

The main difference, in addition to the ease of the process (in wizard mode) lies in the configuration of the connection to a database (if applicable) which in wizard mode is questioned throughout the process.
