# Activate Monitor

Activates monitor of traffic on network card to get the specified data.

Action available for the following operating systems:

### Parameters

* **Start Tag** *\<string> -* The start tag that limits the capture data.
* **End Tag** *\<string> -* The end tag that limits the capture data.
* **Coding** *\<unquoted string> -* The coding used to monitor the data. The possible options for this parameter are: *ASCII*, *Unicode*, *EBCDIC*, *UTF-8*, *UTF-7* or *dynamic*.
* **Target** *\<unquoted string> -* The control or variable where the result of this action is saved.
* **Process nulls** *\<unquoted string> -* This parameter defines if the user wants to process nulls or not. The activation of this option will decrease the performance.
