In this tab, the Licensing settings are configured, as shown in the image.
Enable online licensing - If you have online licensing credentials, you should enable this option, otherwise Kalipso Designer will try to obtain the licensing from a USB Dongle, or run in Demo Mode.
Keep my session active even when closing Kalipso - When this option is disabled, Kalipso Designer will perform a logout from the licensing server. This is recommended when installing and using Kalipso Designer on several computers to prevent locking the license to a single machine. If you only use a single work station, then it is better to keep this option enabled, since it will allow you to work even if you don't have Internet Connection to validate the license.
Store Credentials - Enable this option to save Kalipso Designer credentials. It's also possible to perform automatic logon.
Kalipso Edition - This option is used to select the Kalipso Edition. If set to automatic, the Designer will use the edition the license is entitled. The other options are: Professional, Standard, Entry.
Login - License Login
Password - License Password
Offline Lease Time - Lease time allowed by the licensing server to use Kalipso Designer without internet connection. This option has similar implications to Keep my session active even when closing Kalipso. If you use Kalipso in different computers, then you should use a low value, like 1 hour. For example if you forget to logout, or just leave Kalipso Designer open, go away and latter try to use on another PC, you will have to wait for this amount of time for the license to be freed. Normally you just set a high value, if you need to work without internet connection.
Proxy - Defines how connect to the Licensing server when your network connection uses a Proxy Server. By default, this option is always set to "No proxy". However, you can choose to set it manually by specifying the settings, or else use the settings in Internet Explorer. When choosing the option "Specify the settings" then the following options are active.
Server - Proxy server used to connect
Port - Proxy port used to connect
Logon - Perform Logon
Change Password - Change the password used to perform licensing
Logoff - Perform Logoff
For smooth operation and availability of features and updates, the computer on which Kalipso is installed must have regular access to the Internet.
