# File Write

Kalipso - Form - Actions - Actions Description - Group Files - File Write

Write data on specified text file.

Action available for the following operating systems:

### Parameters

* **File ID** *\<numeric> -* The identification to the file that the user wants to write. The File ID used in a previous [Open File](/kalipso5/developing/form/actions/actions-description/group-files/file-open.md) action.
* **Coded** *\<unquoted string> -* Defines if the writed data is being coded or not. If user chooses YES to this parameter, values between '<' and '>' are considered to be the ASCII value and will be converted to the respective char, otherwise nothing happens.
* **End Value chars** *\<string> -* The characters that represents the end of the written data. These chars muste be coded (Example: "").
* **Value** *\<string> -* The data to be writted in the file.
