# Timers

A Timer is an object that periodically executes a Global Action Set or Local Action Set. You can have up to 10 simultaneous Timers per Form. These Timers can be executed in a threaded mode. See “[Start Timer](/kalipso5/developing/form/actions/actions-description/group-date-time/start-timer.md)” and "[Stop Timer](/kalipso5/developing/form/actions/actions-description/group-date-time/stop-timer.md)" Actions for more information about using a Timer.

For your own organization, you can name the Timers. Select the Timers that you want to rename on the Table and press the button to edit its properties.

* **Timer** - Timer Identifier. You cannot change this value.
* **Name** - Timer Name. Name that you want to give to the Timer. The name of the Form should only contain letters, digits or underscore (\_). This is the Name that will identify the Timer throughout the Project.
* **Description** - Timer Description. The description that you want to give to the Timer. This property is for your information only.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://doc.sysdevmobile.com/kalipso5/developing/form/option-window/timers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
