# HTML Clear Data

This action clears cookies, session data and resource cache associated with HTML Control.

Action available for the following operating systems:

![](/files/-MIiA-ixsOr4jYdDIieF)

### Parameters

* **HTML Control** *\<unquoted string> -* The HTML control to clear the data.

{% hint style="info" %}
Although an HTML control is selected in this action, this actually clears global application cookies, session data and resource cache, since this kind of information is normally stored by the system on application associated data and not on a specific HTML control.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
This action is usefull to clear data stored from previous sessions. For example a user logs on to a service/site using the HTML Control, the system will store session data, and the next time you try to access the same service/site the logon may be reused due to this session data. In this case you can call this action to clear this kind of data, so the user needs to logon again.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://doc.sysdevmobile.com/kalipso5/developing/form/actions/actions-description/group-controls/html-cleardata.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
