Reads data from specified serial port.

Action available for the following operating systems:

Parameters

  • Serial Port <unquoted string> - The name of the port that user wants to read. Tipically is a Com Port, and user could choose from pre-defined Com Ports from Com0 to Com13. It's also possible defined a port dynamically by choosing option dynamic for this parameter.

  • Coded <unquoted string> - This parameter defines if the data to read is coded or not. The possible options for this parameter are: Yes, No or dynamic.

  • Timeout <numeric> - The timeout in miliseconds that the user wants. The value 0 in this parameter defines no timeout.

  • Target <unquoted string> - The control or variable that saves the data readed.
