This action executes remotely a shell on PC to open, edit, find or print a file on PC.

Action available for the following operating systems:

Parameters

  • Communication Profile <unquoted string> - The name of the specified communication profile.

  • File <string> - The name of the file that the user wants to do this action on PC.

  • Parameters <string> - This parameter defines the input parameters to the file that user wants to do this action on PC.

  • Action <unquoted string> - The action that the user wants to execute on the file. The possible values for this parameter are: Open, Edit, Find or Print.

  • Working Directory <string> - The directory in PC where the user wants to work.

  • Wait <unquoted string> - Defines if the user wants to wait for the running application terminates or not.

  • Timeout <unquoted string - When Wait is Yes this is the timeout in seconds to wait. If this parameter is 0, then there is no timeout.

  • Target Ret. Value <unquoetd string> - This parameter saves the returned value for the executed application.

If the specified file does not contain the character "\" or, if you start with the character "\" is the path taken the path indicated in the product configuration KCxx. Otherwise it is assumed the path indicated in the action as the full path.
